Change of date for SLCC philosophy conference; plus an added seminar

Filed under: Uncategorized — Huenemann @ 10:35 am

There has been a change of date for SLCC’s International Faculty/Student Philosophy Conference, “The Moral Challenges of F. Nietzsche’s Nihilism”. Upon the numerous requests from European and American colleagues, as well as local, national, and international student reporters, to have additional time for preparation, the conference board Of directors has decided to change the date of the Conference from March 27/28, 2014, to October 30/31, 2014.

Meanwhile, there will be a similarly-themed International Student Philosophy Seminar on Thursday, March 27, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, in the Multi-Purpose Room of the newly renovated South City Campus of SLCC. The seminar will feature Michiel Meijer (Antwerp U., Belgium), Hedwig Gaasterland (Radboud U., Nijmegen, the Netherlands), and Betty Stoneman (UVU, and SLCC’s Alumna).
